Battery Backup

The Model 1954 and 1955 provide battery backup for MSHA approved Minecom leaky feeder amplifiers. The 1954 provides 48 hours of backup time and the 1955 is good for 96 hours. The battery packs are powered by the 24 VDC that is on the leaky feeder cable from the Model 1925 power supply. This voltage is diverted by the leaky feeder amplifier circuit over the 10 foot connecting cable to the battery pack and keeps the battery at full charge. The battery circuit then provides a steady 12VDC to the leaky feeder amplifier so that in the event of AC power loss the leaky feeder system continues to run without interruption until power is restored or the battery is depleted.
