Model 1956CI / 1956USB

The Model 1956CI and newer Model 1956USB are the data line to computer interface used by any PBE MineBoss™ mine wide monitoring system. Both models connect to our standard four conductor data line and translate the data bidirectionally in and out of the computer. The 1956CI does so via RS-232 serial port connection and the 1956USB does so through any regular size USB port whether it be version 1.0, 2.0 or 3.0.

The advantages to the new USB version are that most modern computers no longer offer an RS-232 serial port and rather than requiring AC power it is powered directly from the PC’s data port.
