Model 1981G

Wireless Gateway

The Model 1981G and 1982G Wireless Gateways translate tracking data from the Model 1990 series of wireless nodes to a leaky feeder radio system. The 1981G is for leaky feeder operating in the UHF range and the 1982G for VHF systems. These units communicate on two separate frequencies simultaneously in order to achieve this by communicating at 924 MHz with the nodes while relaying the data in the proper leaky feeder band.

Also required in the system is a corresponding 1961G or 1962G head end data modem. Again the model relates to the leaky feeder band for UHF or VHF respectively. The head end unit is installed in the leaky feeder head rack and communicates with any wireless gateways in the system. All tracking data flows between the modem and the MineBoss™ computer system for central monitoring.
