Model 1990

Tracking Node

The Model 1990 wireless tracking node works with the existing Pyott-Boone Electronics Tracking Boss system to augment tracking coverage. The node totally eliminates the need to install power and antenna cables in the working section, permissible or remote areas of a mine.

The low profile tracking node features redundant wireless tracking coverage, with an excellent communications range.  Each unit is capable of relaying tag data to adjacent units in a mesh coverage fashion creating a tracking network across a large area.  Tag data is then communicated to a leaky feeder system for transmission to the remote monitoring station using the PBE MineBossTM tracking software.

The Model 1990 has an expected battery life of 1-2 months on 4 D-Cell batteries.  The use of durable alkaline batteries, along with the ability to replace exhausted batteries in permissible areas, adds convenience to an already easy to use product.  Each unit is compact in size, measuring only 4-1/2”W x 3-1/2”H x 3-5/8”D, and includes a low profile magnet mounted to the bottom for installation or quick and easy repositioning.   The NEMA-4sealed enclosure makes them dust and moisture resistant, therefore suited for any mine environment.
