Dry Chemical Fire Suppression System
The Model 227A/125 Dry Chemical Fire Suppression Systems is designed to detect and suppress fires that may occur at conveyor belt drives, air compressors and battery changeout stations. Temperature rise is detected using heat sensors strategically spaced around the equipment being monitored. Whenever a heat rise is detected, a signal is sent to the control panel activating an audible and visual alarm. The control panel simultaneously shuts down the monitored equipment and applies 12 VDC to the electric control head which releases the chemical to the branch lines. Branch lines with nozzles are provided to achieve full and complete coverage. The Dry Chemical Systems operate from a rechargeable battery to eliminate battery change out and to provide constant and reliable service. The battery is charged by a built- in charger with special circuity for fast recovery. The charger is designed to operate from 110 VAC. The 125 pound tank is equipped with a gauge to inspect and insure that the tank is properly charged.
