Continuous Belt Fire Monitor

The Pyott-Boone Model 942A/943A Continuous Belt Fire Monitor monitors a single conveyor belt for rise in temperature.  The Model 942A/943A uses the 012-0029-002 or 012-0031-002 Heat Detection Sensor Cable Assemblies to detect a fire. It is not necessary to maintain cable polarity.  Faulty sensor line conditions, such as an open or shorted sensor line are detected as well.  This status information from the 942/943 is transmitted to a master monitoring station using the Pyott-Boone communication protocol.  The monitoring station then produces the appropriate alarm for the short, open, or fire condition as well as indicates which belt has the fault.

The Continuous Belt Fire Monitor provides LEDs for local status information and troubleshooting aids.  There is also a communication LED on the 942/943 p.c. board that indicates whether data is being received and transmitted.

The units have the ability to interface with a Pyott-Boone Model 235A "Old Faithful" Deluge Panel.  The monitoring station can activate the Deluge Panel or read its status through the 942A/943A.

The Pyott-Boone Model 942A/943A Continuous Belt Fire Monitors require no adjustments to place in service.  Three LEDs (Open, Fire and Short) on the p.c. board tell if a fault exists on the sensor cable.  These LEDs will remain on as long as the fault exists.

The 942/943 Heat Detection Interface Kits can be mounted in a box or piece of equipment  such as the Model 914B Belt Boss Junction Box.  The box or equipment must have the Data/Power wiring available within them.
