Model 944
Alarm Interface
The Model 944 Alarm Interface when connected to the Pyott Boone Mine Boss system monitors one dry contact input and controls a low current double pole/double throw relay. The status is transmitted to the MineBoss monitoring station, displaying the appropriate alarm information.
For automatic or unattended operation, the computer's small logic and patchcord modules can be set up to provide this feature.
The Model 944 is powered by 110 VAC with battery backup. The battery operation provides for emergency operation if the unit is connected to a telephone dialer to alert personnel when power maybe interrupted over a weekend and critical pumps may be off. For installations where the 1905 UPS is powering a CO system, the unit can be powered from the trunk line. Numerous other applications for this digital input/output card are practical as a means of computer remote control operation and alarms.
Other important features include an on board communications LED, data line fuses and a plug in communication PC board for the 320 and 4800 baud systems. Addressing is accomplished by dip switches. The unit requires no calibration or adjustments
