Trending Module

Trending Module

The real value of the trending module is in the ability to changes in a signal’s value over time.  This module can provide the sort of detailed information that will allow the user to see more precisely what is going on in their mine, and can be used to assist in long and short term planning.  The possible applications are limited only by how you want to use the data.

  • Links to any data signal within the MCS, analog or digital (i.e. belt rpms, a 4-20mA input from the analog scanner, the state of a digital switch, etc)
  • Graphs Analog data on a user set vertical scale
  • Allows user to set a sample rate of up to 1 sample per second (for fast signals with a high degree of variability) or down to 1 sample per hour (for less variable signals and longer term trend analysis)
  • Will save data to a file on the Hard Drive
  • Allows user to pan across all data in memory using simple control keys
  • Uses a single, vertical line (skew line) to quantify the exact date/time and value of a signal at any point on the graph.
  • Will be able to print the graph
  • Will be able to open a saved data file and reconstruct the graph from the data contained in the file
  • Will indicate periods when communications with the unit are lost by graphing a segment in red at a value of  “INV” (Invalid), which when the skew line is moved onto it will read “No Data”
